Samson

Samson was a judge over the people of Israel for 20 years. Samson was a Nazarite. There were three marks of a Nazarite; he could not touch any dead animal, he could not drink wine, or cut his hair. When Samson was older he had a bad temper, Poetic abilities, great strength, and pride. Samson got married to a Philistine woman. But Samson’s wife got married to a different man with out Samson knowing. This made Samson very angry, and so he burned the Philistine’s fields. This made the Philistines mad. Then Samson fell in love with another Philistine woman named Delilah. Delilah wanted to find out the secret to Samson’s strength, and succeeded! It was his hair. In the night Delilah cut Samson’s hair and he lost his great strength and became blind. Samson was than brought to the Philistine’s to work as a blind slave. The next day there was a party in one of the Philistine temples, and Samson was brought there to be mocked. He asks the person who was watching him to put him up against the main pilar of the temple, and he was. He then prayed to God to give him a little strength to push down the pilar, and his pray was answered. He push down the pilar killing everyone inside. Samson was remembered for his great act.
